About us. |
Our story
In 1969, Mrs Marje Coffa started our great club, back in the time when girls wore a club branded leotard for their physical items and Hawthorn performed their concert at the Youth Club. Mrs Coffa was the first coach, then called an instructress and under her tuition was her daughter Iolanda, who later took over the club after years of competing in team and solo performances.
In 2019, Hawthorn Calisthenics College celebrated 50 years – something that appealed to many of its members. Feedback is important, and our community are made to feel comfortable to express themselves.
Hawthorn Calisthenics College values itself on being a family friendly club. We provide a welcoming, fun, safe, social and professional environment where we encourage lasting, respectful relationships. We work together to inspire great results through teamwork.
