In the final week of the school holidays, our enthusiastic Tinies, Subbies, Juniors and Inters attended Summer School classes to build skill and strength ahead of the start of the calisthenics season.
Each day consisted of different activities and exercises, ranging from marching, hip hop and flexibility tests to clubs, rods, ballet, pilates, muscle strength and conditioning and gymnastics circuits.
All girls were treated to expert training from calisthenics coaches, dance and ballet teachers as well as qualified physiotherapists to expand their knowledge and strength before official classes start back the following week.
Special thanks goes to some of the Seniors and the Hawthorn coaches for helping facilitate the program. Congratulations to all participants involved for coming back each day despite sore muscles, giving everything a go and learning many things to help Hawthorn strive for victory in 2020.
